“Little Audrey” is a short story written and illustrated by Maddy McLean. The concept was inspired by the thought of turning an internal force into an external conflict that would result in a character confronting the pain chat she repeatedly suppressed.
The story follows a young girl, Audrey, as she grows up with a shadow connected to her. The older they get and the more Audrey suppresses her emotions, the shadow endures the pain and begins to resent Audrey, slowly becoming a threat to her life.
